Hernia is a condition which can impact anyone and the common symptom of hernia pain is a major sign of the condition. Basically, hernia is defined as the protrusion of an organ from the wall of the cavity that contains it. The protrusion can be in the form of the organ or can only be limited to the fascia of the organ. In any case, you would notice an abnormal bulge in the affected region and this would also be associated with hernia pain. In some cases, the hernia pain might be completely absent and you can simply notice a bulge that can be pushed back into the cavity. These cases are usually considered to be in the initial stage of the problem and only require some initial treatment.
Types of Hernia Pain

The first is the localized hernia pain which is present directly at the site of the hernia. Such hernia pain is brought about by the tissues and organs that are being damaged due to herniation. Referred hernia pain is another type which arises in another location, different from the hernia site, and is usually brought about due to the stress and problem that the nerves face due to hernia.
